One thing I’ve recently learned since launching Nocturnal Mind is the joy I get from seeing how my work inspires others. This artwork, for instance, was created by the talented Cassie Levy–a great friend and excellent beta reader for my current work in progress.
For those who are not currently beta readers (or recipients of my newsletter), this is an animal that is featured in a chapter of my upcoming YA fantasy. Seeing it come alive with color and shading was a highlight of my 2020, and it has since been a wonderful reminder that the stories I write belong to my audience just as much as they belong to me.
For more of Cassie’s work, both inspired by other artists and by their own colorful imagination, check out their portfolio here.

Night Owls, how have you been inspired by other artists? How have other artists been inspired by you?
