Whether you’re a fan of “Beauty and the Beast” retellings, medieval fantasies in general, or just snarky and loveable heroines who know how to simultaneously cause trouble and get people out of trouble, “A Curse So Dark and Lonely” is a modern retelling for a modern audience. While much of the story still showcases everything that was enjoyable about the original tale, it also manages to subvert expectations and keep readers turning the pages for more.
